Editorial policy

Effective 12 October 2026. Kniton is an independent wellness publication for men aged 30 and above. This policy explains how we select, research, edit and correct material.

1. Purpose

We translate broad wellness questions into readable, cautious journalism. The purpose is orientation, not persuasion. We do not promise outcomes, diagnose readers or make health claims merely to increase attention.

2. Selection

Topics are chosen for practical relevance, reader questions, public-health importance and the Indonesian urban context. We avoid sensational claims and subjects that require a level of personal examination an editorial page cannot provide.

3. Research

Writers consult public health institutions, research literature, professional guidance and credible local context. Sources are assessed for relevance, date, methods and limitations. A source may inform a piece without being treated as unquestionable.

4. Language

We use measured words such as may, can and is associated with when certainty would be misleading. Terms are explained in English for a broad readership. Sales language, urgency pressure and guarantees are not part of our editorial voice.

5. Conflicts

Writers disclose relevant financial or personal interests to the editor. A commercial relationship does not automatically disqualify a source, but it must be considered and described when material. Editorial decisions are not sold as endorsements.

6. Health safety

Articles include context where a topic can create risk. We encourage qualified care for persistent, severe or changing concerns. We do not publish instructions for unsafe self-treatment, illegal activity or concealment from a clinician.

7. Images

Images are selected to represent atmosphere and ordinary life rather than promise a result. Alternative text describes visible content. We do not present a generated or illustrative image as documentary evidence.

8. Corrections

Readers may report a factual, attribution or safety issue through the contact page. The editor assesses the report, checks the source and records the decision. Significant corrections are noted in the article or its update history rather than silently hidden.

9. Review periods

Evergreen wellness pages are reviewed at least every 12 months and sooner when major guidance changes. The current policy was reviewed 12 October 2026; the previous review was 1 July 2026. Dates shown on articles describe editorial review, not a promise that evidence will remain unchanged.

10. Independence and contact

Kniton is based at Jalan Cendrawasih 25, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta 12120, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia. Call +62 857 7149 2038 for editorial questions. Complaints receive a written response where a contact channel is provided, normally within 30 days.

Each assignment is considered for audience, scope, sourcing and foreseeable misunderstanding before publication. Writers distinguish reported evidence, interpretation and practical context, and editors may remove a claim when its support is too limited for the wording proposed. Dates matter: older material is reviewed when a major source, recommendation or public understanding changes.

Corrections are marked in a proportionate way. A typographical fix may be made silently, while a material factual change should include a dated note or an explanation in the article where practical. Readers may report a concern through the contact page with the URL, quoted passage, reason for concern and supporting source; the editorial desk aims to acknowledge it within seven business days and review it within 30 days.

Sources may include Indonesian public institutions, universities, professional bodies, peer-reviewed literature and established international public-health organisations. A named source is not presented as a personal endorsement, and an external link may be removed if it becomes unavailable, misleading or inconsistent with the article’s purpose. We do not pay for favourable conclusions or hide a material relationship from readers.

Images are checked for rights, relevance and respectful representation, and descriptive alternative text is written for readers who do not see them. Commercial material is handled separately under publicidad.php. Questions about this policy may be sent to Jalan Cendrawasih 25, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta 12120, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia, or +62 857 7149 2038. This version is effective 12 October 2026.

Assignments are considered for audience, scope, sourcing and foreseeable misunderstanding before publication. Writers distinguish reported evidence, interpretation and practical context, while editors may narrow or remove a claim when support is not sufficient for the proposed wording. Dates matter because older material may need review when a source, public recommendation or relevant understanding changes. A page may therefore carry a review date without implying that every statement has changed.

Corrections are marked proportionately. A typographical or formatting adjustment may be made without a public note, while a material factual change should include a dated explanation in the article where practical. Readers may report a concern through the contact page with the URL, quoted passage, reason for concern and supporting source. The desk aims to acknowledge reports within seven business days and review them within 30 days.
